Deva Cantika, a Biomedical Engineering student in the Physics Department of Airlangga University’s Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) in the class of 2022, demonstrates how innovation can bridge the gap between technology and societal needs. Her interest in healthcare technology development has led her to design various medical solutions, including a wireless stethoscope prototype, and to delve deeper into machine learning to support healthcare advancements.

Deva’s dedication and innovative spirit have led to numerous achievements at both national and international levels. He secured 1st place in the Non-PIMNAS PKM-KC Digital Poster category and 2nd place in the Biomedical International Essay and Poster Competition (BIEPC), won the Best Paper award at the MARS 11 International Scientific Paper Competition (LKTI), and was invited to speak at an international conference on Robotics and Communication Technology. Additionally, Deva successfully secured PKM-KC and PKM-RE funding from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemendiktisaintek).

Beyond her achievements, Deva actively contributes through leadership and academic development. As the 2024 FST UNAIR Inspirational Ambassador, a student organization secretary, and an advisor and teaching assistant across various academic programs, she inspires and mentors the younger generation to continue growing.

Deva’s journey reflects the spirit of FST UNAIR students, who not only excel in academics and innovation but are also capable of delivering tangible impact to society through science and technology.
