This initiative is part of the study program\u2019s strategic efforts to enhance the quality of its biomedical engineering higher education and to strengthen the international recognition of its educational standards.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The pursuit of international accreditation from IABEE serves as a significant milestone for the Bachelor\u2019s Degree Program in Biomedical Engineering at UNAIR, demonstrating its commitment to implementing Outcome-Based Education (OBE)\u2014an approach aligned with international quality standards for engineering education. Through this accreditation process, various aspects of the educational program undergo a comprehensive evaluation, encompassing the curriculum, teaching and learning processes, graduate competencies, the quality of human resources, educational and research facilities, and the system for continuous quality assurance.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The three-day accreditation process encompassed an evaluation and assessment of the implementation of the educational system within the Bachelor\u2019s (S1) Biomedical Engineering Study Program at UNAIR. This process also served as an opportunity for the study program to showcase various achievements, innovations, and academic developments that have been implemented to support the competencies of its graduates in the field of biomedical engineering.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the assessment process, the evaluation focuses not only on the completeness of academic documentation but also on the alignment between planning, implementation, evaluation, and the enhancement of educational quality. This aligns with the principle of continuous quality improvement, which serves as a key foundation for the accreditation system in engineering education.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Preparations for this international accreditation process have been carried out through various stages, including internal evaluation, the drafting of self-evaluation documents, curriculum review, and the strengthening of Outcome-Based Education implementation. The study program has also coordinated and collaborated with various stakeholders within the faculty and the university to ensure that all components involved in the assessment process are fully prepared.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through this initiative, the Bachelor\u2019s Degree Program in Biomedical Engineering at UNAIR aims to obtain an objective and constructive evaluation to serve as a foundation for future quality improvement in education.
