The Bachelor’s (S1) Biomedical Engineering Study Program at Universitas Airlangga began enrolling new students in the 2008/2009 academic year. Five years later, in 2013, the program received accreditation from the National Accreditation Agency for Higher Education (BAN-PT) with a ‘B’ rating, which remained valid until 2018. Subsequently, pursuant to BAN-PT Decree Number 2421/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/S/IX/2018, the program was awarded an ‘A’ accreditation, effective from 2018 until September 4, 2023.
Most recently, a new accreditation certificate for the Bachelor’s (S1) Biomedical Engineering program has been issued by the Accreditation Institute for Engineering (LAM Teknik)—under Decree No. 0243/SK/LAM Teknik/AS/VIII/2023—which is valid from August 21, 2023, to August 20, 2028.
